In a previous blog, I wrote about the cause and effect of serious prayer. You can read that here. Now, I want to talk about the side effect. When we focus our time on others, praying for them, their situations, sometimes when those breakthroughs come, we don’t realize we have been touched as well. Before I began this endeavor to pray (for what took a while to come through!) I had some personal hang ups. By the time what I had been praying for “broke”… personal things I was struggling with also broke. I had never even prayed for those things! But praying for someone else had changed me in the process.
You see… if we are praying for others, we don’t have time to be selfish 🙂
