You feel like no matter which way you turn you are hitting a dead-end. You are continuously hitting a wall of some sort. It’s a clear box because you always think it looks good so you go after it and quickly realize you aren’t going to get very far or you just hit the wall completely. You were tricked. You were lied to. You made bad decisions. You don’t know how you are going to get out of this box you are now stuck in…
There is a way; it’s not a lost cause. All you have to do is turn around, repent and walk out the other side. When you decide to not be prideful anymore, or when you decide you have had enough of doing it “your way” you will stop slamming into the same clear wall. When you repent and give it to the Lord you will see the box all of a sudden have a wall that just opens up and lets you walk out. It’s that simple.
This could be surrendering for the first time to God or it could be giving in to a certain situation and finally allowing God to lead you instead of pushing your direction (which hasn’t been working). If you are giving your life to Him and you feel lost on how to do this – it’s totally normal. Get by yourself, close your eyes and tell God you want Him to come into your heart. Ask Him to forgive you for all the things in your past and you want to live for Him the way He wants you too. If you are struggling with a particular situation right now, get by yourself and have a heart-to-heart with God. He already knows your thoughts, so don’t be shy. He is an ALL KNOWING God. He knows everything before we do and even think it. He knew us before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”) so what makes you think you can keep things from Him? By not dealing with the situation you are hurting yourself, any blessings meant to come your way as well as your family and whoever else they might ripple to.
I promise you, the door leading out is the way to go. Otherwise, you are just going to keep butting your head against that clear wall – and eventually you won’t be able to anymore.
