God‘s presence is described in scripture as the color of amber and represented often by fire. Hence, the burning bush in Exodus. He is also represented as judgement by fire like with Elijah in II Kings and again in Isaiah. Hebrews 12:29 says, ” 29For our God is a consuming fire.” The color of amber is described as a yellowish/gold color and demonstrates God’s overbearing bright and immediate presence. Tonight, I saw that presence, that all-consuming fire in a burst of amber-colored brightness. It was two toned actually, with the center being a more concentrated amber color and slowly fading out to a more pale amber color as it expanded in width. In this burst of color I felt God’s overwhelming presence; it was almost surreal. I could not believe what I was seeing.
His presence is real. It’s all around us in forms you would never think of. We think of God as showing up in human form, or perhaps in spirit form feeling the Holy Ghost take us over for a moment in time. But what if you were to see a burning bush? (Exodus) What would you think then? What if you were to mock someone and see God’s judgement rain fire down and destroy those around you and then you? (II Kings) Would you believe in it then? What if His very presence is in the person sitting next to you trying to get your attention with the words they are speaking to you but you don’t want to listen?
His glory is so bright even scripture states no sun or moon will be needed:
Revelation 21:23
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
His presence is documented in Ezekiel 1:4, “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.” In Ezekiel 1:27-28, “27And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.28As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” And also in Ezekiel 8:2, ” Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.”
If you have ever had the opportunity to see and/or experience His glory consider yourself highly favored and thank Him for showing you. If you haven’t, I strongly encourage you to seek His face… not His hand. Don’t seek Him for what He can do for you – but for who HE IS. He is our Savior and deserves much more respect than that.
Treasure Him. Respect Him. He is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is loving and He is just. We should be reverent and God-fearing.

You know, when I read what you wrote about the color amber being attributed to God, it reminded me that the alchemists said that wearing an amber stone could heal the mind and the body. Nice coincidence.
